The October H.E.L.P. Fall fundraiser, Autumn Sunset, was a fun opportunity for longtime friends and supporters to get together to celebrate the work of H.E.L.P. It was also wonderful to make so many new friends. True to its theme, H.E.L.P. supporters were treated to a colorful sunset overlooking the panoramic harbor -to-ocean view at the close of the evening. The weather couldn’t have been more accommodating, with clear skies and balmy breezes.
We have many people to thank for the success of this lovely evening. First we greatly appreciate H.E.L.P. Advisory Board members, Kim and Chris Engen, who hosted the event at their beautiful new Palos Verdes home. The evening included champagne and appetizers followed by light supper with wine. The Sunset Supper was prepared by Jean and Jason Cordero of Entertaining Friends Catering. Wines were donated by Phyllis and Bill Glantz from their Eberle Winery, and by Jennifer and Brad Baker.
We are also very grateful to our Sapphire Presenting Sponsor, Peninsula philanthropist, Ralph Scriba, who was honored last year with H.E.L.P.’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his longtime support of H.E.L.P. The evening was a great success due to his continued support, and that of the following sponsors.
